Like its big brother, the AP5 Pro Model wood baseball bat, the AP5HD is a well balanced power hitter’s bat. It features the same flared knob and handle diameter (just under 1″) and the long barrel that players love in the AP5 model. The only difference is the AP5 HD barrel diameter is just a tad smaller to enable us to add some additional durability to this model.

All HD wooden bat models are crafted from the same high quality maple and birch woods as our other standard and pro wood bat models. To gain extra durability without sacrificing pop, the tweaked barrel is offset by the wood being denser (ie. harder). Denser wood = a stronger bat and more energy transferred to the ball.
